Discovery of explosive device delays fire fighting efforts

CUSTER COUNTY, SD (KELO.com) — Wildfire control efforts were interrupted by the discovery of a homemade explosive device in Custer County Monday.  The Custer County Sheriff’s Office says it appeared to be tannerite, an explosive often used for target practice that’s illegal in the Black Hills.  It was detonated in a controlled explosion.
